Mama Needs a Time Out

So it has been a very LONG week.  I am beyond ready for the weekend.  My crazy sweet toddler is spending the night with my parents tonight.  I live for sleep overs!keep-taking-the-happy-pills

I haven’t done much posting this week because I have been absolutely exhausted.  Oh the joys of not having a thyroid, and having to depend on artificial hormones.  I did manage to cook dinner just about every night, but nothing worth talking about.  If you can’t tell, I am in a bit of a sarcastic snit.

Here is a little recap of my week:

Monday-  I took the toddler with me to run errands.  We hit the post office, gas station, drug store and lastly the grocery store.  Hattie loves to shop, and she loves to pick up random things and put them in the cart.  I only needed three things at the grocery: garlic, rosemary and chicken stock.  I came home with animal cookies, My Little Pony activity book, pumpkin cookie mix and a Sobe strawberry drink.  I had to pry a box of chocolate donuts and a bottle of Dawn out of her hot little hands.

Tuesday- The toddler threw a dirt road fit in the middle of the Walmart complete with screaming at the top of her lungs, kicking and throwing bolts of fabric.  Thank goodness we were at the Walmart because no one really seemed to even notice.

Wednesday- Since it was such a beautiful day, I took the toddler to the playground.  She proceeded to get pissed at me because I would not give her the car keys.  Evidently, she thinks she can drive.  So she pitched a fit.  All of the other kids at the playground stopped and stared at her like she had three heads.  Then the toddler proceeded to scream “go home” so that was the end of the playground.

Thursday-  The toddler would not get off the potty.  She insists on playing the ipod, iphone or ipad while she is on the potty.  She sat on the potty for over an hour playing the ipad.  I guess I shouldn’t complain.  At least she was on the potty, and did her business.

Friday-  Since it is only 7am, you would think that I wouldn’t have anything to complain about.  Oh, how I wish that were true.  The toddler woke up about four times during the night.  She then proceeded to get up for good at 5:30.  We then had a fit about getting on the potty, getting dressed, eating breakfast, brushing her teeth and putting on her coat.  I’m done.

I love my little girl to pieces, but she is a mess.  Her new thing is to cross her arms when she is mad.  I try so hard not to laugh because it is so funny and cute.  I thank God that she is my little mess as I pop another happy pill.
